Travelling Around the World - A Human Right?

In the lead to Refugee Week 2018, we would like to invite you to an inspirational discussion on freedom of movement which is an inherent aspect of the human spirit.

Guest speaker: Kedarnath Gm, author of two books, "Dream To Ride Around The World: A Voyage On My Motorbike" and "No Country Man"

Kedarnath Gm will share his experience traveling from India on his motorbike across to Europe and then decided to continue around the world. He will talk about crossing cultural boundaries, crossing natural borders and the challenges involved in doing so. (Photos from his journey will be shown.)

We will discuss the current geopolitical boundaries and policies and the challenges these pose to freedom of movement. The audience will learn what it takes to overcome the challenges that our current immigration and refugee policy pose to people seeking asylum at our doorstep. (3 short films will be shown.)

The audience will also learn what it takes to face the unknown and come to terms with your fears as you discover more about yourself in your moments of discomfort. Not a night to be missed!

*In order to have a complete discussion, please feed yourself before the event or grab some food on the way. Coffee and tea will be provided.

Free event; Entry by donation. Places limited; Booking ESSENTIAL
