The team at People Just Like Us invites you to a picnic for our supporters and friends at the beautiful Blackburn Gardens in Double Bay on Saturday 23rd January.
This will give us a chance to get to know each other better, give you opportunities to get more involved,learn about our upcoming activities and continue to work towards changing Australia's policy towards people seeking asylum.
There will be the opportunity to swim at the nearby Murray Rose Pool, so bring your bathers.
The official event will be from 12.30 to 2.30 on Saturday 23rd January 2016 but you will be welcome to stay on afterwards to swim or just relax in the gardens.

Facilities:
The venue has public toilets, and the Murray Rose Pool is close by with showers and the Red Leaf café. There is disabled access from New South Head Road.
What to bring:
Please bring some food to share, picnic rug, sunscreen, insect repellent, and... your ideas for a more welcoming Australia.
Please leave any pets behind as dogs are prohibited.
Getting there:
By car: There is limited street parking but parking is also available at the Council Chambers.
Public transport :It is a 5-10 minute walk from Double Bay ferry Wharf; take a ferry from Circular Quay, No. 4 Wharf, Sydney (Stop 20005) or take Bus 325 or 324 from Edgecliff train station, bus stop 202830 New South Head Rd opp Victoria Rd, Point Piper.
